Kamal is a Partner with more than 25 years of experience, including 10+ years as a CAO, VP, and Corporate Controller with Public and pre-IPO companies, as well as 10+ years of experience as an Audit Senior Manager with Big 4 Public Accounting Firms (EY and KPMG).

He started his career as an auditor in India with A.F. Ferguson & Co. and then moved to Dubai with EY. He then relocated to California and worked for KPMG and EY in their audit practice. He then moved into the industry as a CAO/Corporate Controller before founding Neumera Consulting and KMP Associates.

Kamal has recently helped take 3 companies public (2 via SPACs and 1 via traditional IPO). Two of these companies went IPO in 2022. Kamal has spent significant time helping private and public companies in building and establishing accounting infrastructure as well as setting up scalable processes and systems. In addition, he has advised and served several clients worldwide and has dealt with SEC on numerous occasions. Kamal has held various leadership positions, including Chief Accounting Officer and VP, Corporate Controller, and Treasurer for public and private companies.

Kamal is very hands-on and well-versed in various technical accounting matters and has led multiple ASC 606 and ASC 842 implementation projects, including 1styear of SOX compliance.
Kamal is a California CPA and a Chartered Accountant from India. He received a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Delhi University.
